Ingredients & Manufacturing

This policy has been adopted by Sugar and Spice Sweets or (“We”) and applies to our picking procedure activities in relation to our manufacturing of our spicy sweet range.

Our product is a batch made spicy sweet. Each ingredient of each sweet within the spicy sweet range can be seen on our website. 

We display the ingredients on the website in the exact way that they appear on the sweet wrapper or bag taken from the supplier / manufacturer.

Please be aware that sweets containing nuts, sugar, soya, wheat and other allergens are picked and packed in the same place as those sweets that don’t. We would not recommend that if you have a severe allergy to buy from our pick and mix section, for your own safety as unfortunately due to the way that the sweets are picked within close proximity of each other we cannot guarantee that unchosen/ rogue sweets will not be mixed within the pouch. Whilst we try our upmost to avoid such things for dietary and allergen requirements we cannot guarantee this.

The area in which we produce our orders is of a high standard of cleanliness and is well maintained. All pickers wear a high standard of PPE, including hair nets and gloves.

Ingredients:

Original Spicy pouch sweet:Glucose Syrup, Sugar, Modified Corn Starch, Beef Gelatine, Concentrated Apple Juice (1.7%), Acidity Regulator (Citric Acid, Malic Acid), Glazing Agents (Caranuba Wax, Beeswax, White and Yellow), Colours (E160a, E100, E141, E163)

Vegan Spicy pouch sweet:Glucose Syrup*, Sugar, Corn Starch, Water, Acids (Malic Acid, Citric Acid), Acidity Regulator (E331), Flavourings, Colours (E129, E133, E102, E110, E132, E171). Warning: E129, E102, E110 may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children. *Contains genetically modified ingredients.

Sugar free pouch sweet: Sweeteners (Malitiol, Isomalt), Gelatine, Water, Acid (E330), Flavours, Colours (E141, E120, E163, E161B), Excessive consumption may produce laxative effects.

Tajin: Chilli peppers, sea salt, citric acid, dehydrated lime juice, silicon dioxide (to prevent caking). 

Cayenne pepper, Ancho Chilli pepper, Tamarind, Mild chilli powder, Rose petal, These products are packed in a facility that also handles: Nuts, Peanuts, Sesame Seeds, Mustard, Soya, Wheat (Gluten), Barley (Gluten), Milk, Celery, Sulphites

Vegetable oil.
